A little knowledge is always dangerous: Rahmatullah Abro
Every man has fragrance of different sort of quality
and character, as flowers have but the fragrance of Rose has its own taste.
In that way the genius people spread the fragrance of their character in
society. Chacha Rahmatullah Abro is one of them. When I saw him first time in
2007, his face was full with wrinkles little and simple smile on his face,
having a black marker in his hand, delivering a lecture on "importance of
hand writing" at our village Kuli. When he came from Larkana city I
requested "May I come in sir? He replied "no need to call me
as sir ! Infect call me as chacha because I am your Chacha". That was
the day and still I am his student but he is my Chacha.
Chacha Rahmatullah Abro opened his eyes in the house of Mohammad
Bux Abro on 5th of April 1949 at city of martyrs Larkana. He got his
early education from his native village Kehar. He used to sit under the shadow
of trees where he read books. This is how he was near to nature. When he was 4
years old his father died, he doesn't remember his father, and then his mother
gave him full support. After school he started harvesting and helped his
mother in her House work.
Chacha Rahmatullah passed his matriculation exams from high school Ratodero. Then he got admission in Degree College Larkana, the travel from his village to Larkana is about 24 kilometers, due to appetite of education, he went to Larkana daily on foot. Chacha said I have remembered those days; those days were golden days of my life. My mother gave me just 2 takkas, and I utilized them very carefully. I usually went on foot instead of bus. After he passed his Matriculation he became a gauge reader in Irrigation department, due to poverty and no source of income. He accepted that job with heart.
But if your dreams are high, if your vision is high, God helps you in every step of life, instead of having job he can't stop hard working. After that he was selected as a junior school teacher (JST). Chacha said It was happened accidentally because I was willing to be an engineer but fate brought me in this profession.

Initially his appointment took place at Shahdadkot then Dadu and
later transferring from one city to another is still continue .This is
the reason that many of his colleagues and students spread in all over the
Sindh.
In the time his yore, he was inspired by the great leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto that inspiration created his interest in the history and politics as well.
When he went to college, he started to meet with Comrade Sobho Gianchandani and used to listen poetry of Hamal Fakir and Dadan Badahi. He was inspired from their poetry and started writing Ghazals, Sindhi sehras and songs. His 4 songs are sung by local singer Mureed Abbas.
Now he is retired and giving lectures on history, education and politics in different villages and areas of district Larkana and surrounding cities. He is popular narrator as well.
Chacha said I can't forget the words of Comrade Sobho Gianchandani he said "Rahmatullah you are not only a teacher but a friend of students as well" whenever I met with comrade he told me, "tu anja kdhen porcho thende re".
Chacha Rahmatullah considers his every student a friend he have had the technique to make new friends. He said making new friends is the part of my nature. In my 72 years experience who met me for five seconds I made him my friend, who met me for an hour considered as my friend.
In my perception friendship is a name of feelings. In my view friendship means kinship, love and truthiness. You are an example, tell very honestly you are matchless, you are my student but I consider you as my friend. I am 50 years older than you but despite of it I suppose you as my friend not only you but I consider every student as my friend.
I am not a big writer, I am not a literate, I don’t have a wide knowledge, I always fright from the quote “A little knowledge is always dangerous” but my simple and straight opinion is that I have delivered about friendship. Nowadays there are no true friends. Every person is busy in their lives, if friends have any interest then contact yourself otherwise don't. So, now mostly people make friends for their own interests. Now I understand that verily, the bird of friendship flies on one wing.
Now he has proud on himself he said I am son of a farmer, my mother is a farmer, I am also a farmer but my dreams came true. My hard working and honesty were not wasted Almighty Allah gifted me pride. My first son Sana ullah Abro is Collector Customs and second son Saifullah Abro is Deputy Secretary Home Sindh. Chacha said Despite of many hurdles, I cannot surrender I have belief on Almighty. God helps me in every difficult situation of my life.
