Shahid Ali is Municipal Commissioner of Hyderabad
Q: what are your qualification?
A: I have done my B.Sc, M.A L.L.B successfully.
Q: What are your experience achievements?
A: I’ve worked almost all the department of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation as several posts as well as The Head of the departments in Land Department, Taxation Department, Encroachment Cell, Health, Meat department .

Q: How did you come in this field ?
A: I joined this Department in 1992 in Sindh Council Unified group
(local Government Sindh) at Bs-16 Assistant Fanation Officer. It’s been 25 years since im serving this department.

Q: What are the challenges you’ve faced in you Job ?
A: In my word. I would say this is a thankless Job. Due to the sensation and less public awareness, In the morning staff clear the Garbage and till afternoon the roads are again found full of rubbish.
Q: Are you satisfied with you Job?
A: Yes Allhamduillh!! I am well satisfied by my job but sometimes it melts me when we are highlighted in newspaper for irrelevant subject which are worthless.
Q: What is you greatest strength ?
A: My greatest strength is my self confidence and my desire for the betterment of the city.
Q: In your opinion what are the responsibilities of every civilian ?
A: In my opinion, There is a need of Public awareness people should be known to their duties towards the society as they are true citizens and this country and city is their asset.
Q: What are your opinions for youth to join this Field?
A: In my opinion. Young generation consist of our future leaders who will take this country to the Sky. I would say them that they should join this Department by this we will be able to have young thoughts and ideas to work in accordance of rules
Q: In your opinion what is the responsibility of a Government officer?
A: In my opinion the responsible government officer should always give priority to his duties towards his Job. He should always make decisions which are in favor of whole department and should not be bias towards his decisions.
Q: Is it difficult to be a Municipal Commissioner?
A: In my opinion it is not difficult to be a Municipal Commissioner because as long as you are sincere to your job nothing is difficult. But I agree to the extent that some part of my job is difficult as I have to lead my team equally and have to manage the different mindsets of different people working as well as the civil people.
Q: who is your inspiration ?
A: My father was a role model for me. He was also serving the same department as a Chief sanitary Inspector. He really inspired me through the devotion and hardwork.
Q: In your opinion what is the Key of Success?
A: In my opinion self belief is a Key to success. I would like to share a quote for youth that I believe in
“You are never a looser, Until you quit trying’’
