ROLE OF YOUTH IN PROMOTINGPEACE IN PAKISTAN.

Youth have always been an asset of any nation, unfortunately our youth is lacking behind in promoting peace in society and the reason is no proper guidance which is lacking behind them to play their proper part and role in eradicating the evils of peace. In my point of viewyouth are the fresh minded people with a lot of ideas and our youth is capable of having ideas that can change this society and can promote peace all they need is just a boost up. Pakistan is facing problems regarding internal peace like terrorism. The people itself are not united as one and now our country have come at this point that we all need to be united to eradicate all internal disputes that are dividing the nation and the country to make this country a better place to live with a sense of national responsibility and to make this country a place where everyone can roam freely at nights or can wear or carry any valuable belongings along with them.

Our youth must be well utilized they constitute the wealth of a country. This could be done by changing the attitudes, behavior, and culture towards people. There is no doubt that the country needs to develop the culture of peace. Our youth can do this by promoting peace through NGO’s by focusing on valuable education. Nowadays, many educated people are involved in terrorism and are easily getting distracted by evil people. So, this means education is not all for promoting peace a valuable education is required. We need to create good social interactions. Youth can form different organizations and teamparticularly who will be working on peace. Many of us can take the sense of national responsibility of cleaning roads and planting trees and can start working on greenery in our country. Many of them can paint walls with some beautiful sceneries assisting peace.

While those of young people who are good at public speaking can promote peace by preparing healthy lectures for social responsibility drives or community outreach projects. This could also really help in motivating minds especially in school colleges. The youth of ethnic groups can also come forward by forming a link and bridge between cultural minorities and by promoting and respecting each other ethnic values, religions, culture and traditions.

Whereas, the youth involved in political area can promote peace by good political awareness campaigns and the youths at international level can promote by becoming peace brand ambassadors of their countries, by promoting cultural exchange programs, sports, science and technology programs in order to link all the youths of regions to unite them all on one platform.

The power of youth is yet not explored because adults had yet not taken an action to trust our potentials to play our vibrant role as peace builders. Our youth is very much talented and equipped with many good ideas. Youth’s participation should be appreciated at all levels from local community to national and international levels. They must be given responsibilities according to their capacities. Our youth are the future leaders, and leaders should not considered by their age. That day is not far when our country would be blessed by young leaders and peace would be all around and this society would become a better place to live with better minds.
